Under the motto ''... from the Coil to the Customer'', OSCo presented at EuroBLECH its enhanced solution within SAP for metal processing and finishing companies and organized the OSCo Day 2008 on 23 October in the Convention Center (refer to the agenda)

The OSCo solution represents nearly all industry-typical processes, especially quality management and MES, continuously in one system. By this, OSCo boosts the realization of business processes in a single software environment by delta and complete implementations of SAP.

The solution simplifies and accelerates the material flow processes in the shop floor (quantity and value flow) including FI/CO and reporting. An advantage is that the production data collection and analysis (PDC / MDC) with refined MES functionalities (Manufacturing Execution System) are represented in the same software environment. The OSCo TouchIN procedure serves as interface between user and system.

The procedure could be experienced at the booth as simulation on an installed touch screen. Therefore screens were prepared with a ‘plant / hall overview’ of the work centers with DNC program administration and screens for confirmation information of different data.

A special benefit of the software is that OSCo provides it in the programming languages of SAP and that it is completely (i.e. modification-free) integrated into the SAP system. SAP standard functionalities and OSCo enhanced solutions run rule-based in the background.

At OSCo Day on 23 October, experts reported on the enhanced OSCo solutions in SAP ERP and SAP NetWeaverAS. Reference reports on our customer projects, e.g. at Wuppermann Group, EMW, and Walter AG, focused on the advantages and added values which result from a single software environment.
