OSCo will present the enhanced OSCo solution within SAP for metal processing and finishing companies at EuroBLECH 2008 (21 to 25 October) in Hanover in Hall 16, Booth B14.
The solution simplifies and accelerates the shop floor processes including FI/CO and reporting. An advantage is that the production data collection and analysis (PDC / MDC) with refined MES functionalities (Manufacturing Execution System) and the TouchIN procedure are represented in the same software environment.
Examples: Screens with ‘plant / hall overview’ of the work centers with DNC program administration and screens for confirmation information of different data.
On OSCo day on 23 October 2008 in the CC (Convention Center), Room 13/14 experts will report on the enhanced OSCo solutions within SAP, focusing on the advantages which result from a single software environment.

A special benefit of the software is that OSCo provides it in the programming languages of SAP and that it is completely (i.e. modification-free) integrated into the SAP system. Standard functionalities run rule-based in the background. Proven business processes and sets of rules and prepared data structures (amongst others for quotation costing, bills of material, routings and inspection plans, master data generation, derivations of standard values and quality ratings, packaging rules, and more) simplify the SAP implementation and the daily business of the users with the system.

The OSCo software is designed, from the processing of hot-rolled metals, for all production and treatment steps (cutting, slitting, forming, coating) and represents the further processing (assembling and finishing) and trading of flat and bar or rod formed materials (coils, sheets, profiles, tubes, and assemblies) in the same software environment.
The OSCo software is well proven and runs in a centralized SAP ERP system as well as on decentralized plant servers such as SAP NetWeaverAS. The OSCo solution is easy to implement and provides a high return on investment (ROI).
