This solution for the metal industry comprehends predefined business processes along with the necessary master and control data for industry-specific processes. These are at disposal on the OSCo prototype systems for direct analysis. Implementation analysis can thereby be done more efficiently and the acceptance of the specialty departments increases. The solution takes especially into account the differences between production depth, technologies and order processing times. This encompasses e.g. the transfer of customer requests into offers as well as a comprehensive quality management.

All product specific requirements, especially the consideration of thresholds out of different metal dependent standards and the common cutting of diverse dimensions, are fully integrated into the SAP system.

Rule sets, which have been integrated via an extended form of SAP variant configuration, are delivered for the rule-based master data triggering and the quotation costing.

The high requirements in the product back-tracing have been realized especially effectively by a comprehensive labeling and scanning from the goods receipt via consumption and inventory processing until the shipping and transport. By this, each history is completely representable.

The solution can be extended by individual data structures and derivation rules to increase the own competitive advantage. Fast logon and logoff to and from the system is ensured by the OSCo TouchIN technology for pins, magnetic cards, and ident chips.

The functions support amongst others the following production technologies:
